What to expect when we first meet

When we meet, we hope to make you feel comfortable and relaxed about having a consultation. Our consultation is obligation free, meaning you don’t HAVE to have treatment if you choose not to.

The services we offer are medical procedures, so the first thing we need to do is have a chat about your health. We will ask you if you have any medical conditions, if you are taking any medications or supplements and will also need to know if you have any allergies. These are all very important factors to ensure that you can safely have treatment.

We will then ask if you could be pregnant or if you are breastfeeding, this is important to know because we do not perform cosmetic medical procedures while pregnant or throughout breastfeeding as we do not know if these procedures may have an affect on your little one. Best to look after you and bubs until you’ve finished breastfeeding.

Your concerns

Let’s talk about what’s brought you into see us in the first place. We want to know what it is you aren’t satisfied with in your appearance. Some people say they simply feel like they look tired, others may be concerned with a specific area such as their glabella/ frown lines (aka 11’s), a gummy smile or having thin lips. Then we want to know how you would like to look, if you’re unsure we can chat and work out what improvements you are wanting.

Consultations are confidential, your information is stored within a secured application that only your treating practitioner has access to.

You may be coming for treatment for excessive sweating (hyperhydrosis), painful teeth grinding/ jaw clenching, hay fever or even migraine relief, if this is the case we will assess if our treatments may be the answer for you. We can also recommend/ refer you on to other healthcare professionals if that is more appropriate for your condition.

Again these are medical procedures, all medications and medical procedures inherently come with risk. We will explain all of the potential side effects and complications and ensure that the benefits to you outweigh any potential risks. This can be the part that sounds scary, but please rest assured that potential complications from cosmetic medical procedures aren’t common. What can be experienced more frequently is bruising, some swelling or even tenderness where you have had treatment.

We welcome your questions in consultation, if it helps you, write a list of things you want to check. If it’s your first time you may be a little nervous or keen to know as much as you can. Again, we want to make sure you are informed, comfortable and safe in your decision on having or not having treatment.

Photos

When we look in the mirror we only see the front of our face, clinical photography allows us to capture your face as others see you, and show you what may be causing your concerns, as well as identify areas that may benefit from treatments. Photo’s are very important in tracking your results too. We want to make sure you are happy (over the moon actually) about your results, comparing photos will make sure you can measure your improvements.
